Building Safety Act 2022 and Fire Safety Order

Date: 11th December 2023

The Building Safety Act 2022 Section 156 makes amendments Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order. These new requirements came into force on 1st October 2023.

Whilst there is far more to it than that which is shown below, you should be aware that being a small business with few staff no longer negates the need to record your fire risk assessment or arrangements.

So if you haven't previously had a fire risk assessment documented or kept the required records, now is the time to start.

If you need a fire risk assessment or any help implementing the necessary fire safety precautions in your premises, then I'm here to help - just send me a DM or leave a comment below and we can discuss your requirements.

You can also learn more about your fire safety responsibilities under Section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022 on the Gov website.

If you'd like a FREE Fire Risk Assessment template and/or downloadable Fire Log Book to help get you started in complying with the Act then let me know in the comments!
